Mimosa tenuiflora (syn. Mimosa hostilis) is a tree native to Mexico and other Latin-American countries. It has been given a variety of names by the local population across the continent. In Mexico it is known as Tepezcohuite, while in Brazil it is called jurema preta, calumbi or just jurema.
